Charred Spicy Mustard Green Beans

This is a super simple side dish that packs some great flavor. You can use any mustard that you like to add some awesome flavor and when it browns in the pan it just all blends together in crunchy mustardy awesomeness. I used a smokey chipotle mustard for mine.

What do you think? What kind of mustard did you use?

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Combine the olive oil and spicy mustard in a mixing bowl until blended together.
  2. Toss green beans in the olive oil and mustard mixture until coated evenly.
  3. Heat a pan (I prefer a cast iron skillet) on medium heat and cook the green beans for about 10 minutes stirring frequently. They should be tender, but still crunchy.

  4. Take them out of the pan and toss them back in the same bowl to get a little more of the mustard and oil mixture before serving.
